A launchpad built on behaviour

Trade freely. Build your track record. Earn access through your behaviour.

Medici is a launchpad designed around reputation. Collectors build a verifiable onchain record, and creators use that record to shape who gets access to their work.

I.The founding collection

Where the reputation engine begins

The founding Medici collection is the first community to seed the reputation engine. It establishes the initial pool of scored collectors whose behaviour sets the baseline for how the system reads onchain activity.

Within the scoring model, the founding collection carries the highest individual collection weight. Participation in it has greater influence on a collector's passport than equivalent activity in any other collection.

Founding-holder recognition is kept separate from ongoing behavioural scoring. A strong start does not insulate a collector from the consequences of subsequent poor behaviour, and good behaviour accumulated after entry is still recorded.

Role
Seeds the reputation engine with the first collector community.
Weight
Carries the highest individual collection weight in the engine.
Recognition
Founding-holder recognition stays separate from ongoing behavioural scoring.
II.The reputation passport

A record of how a collector actually behaves

Every collector's passport is assembled from onchain activity across eight dimensions. It captures holding patterns, trading conduct, commitment follow-through, and community contribution. The passport is non-transferable and cannot be purchased. It reflects what a collector has demonstrably done, not what they claim.

Scoring rules are disclosed, not hidden

The reputation engine is only useful if collectors can understand how it works. Weights, deductions, and thresholds are published before they are enforced. Every deduction is tied to a specific transaction or commitment and includes a path to correction.

  • Rules are documented and scoring versions are identified.
  • Weights and deductions are disclosed before enforcement.
  • Reputation is non-transferable and cannot be purchased.
  • Repetitive low-value activity does not accumulate credit.
  • Reserved opportunities are available to collectors with limited history.
  • Every deduction identifies the relevant commitment or transaction and includes a correction process.
III.The commitment flow

Explicit commitments, recorded outcomes

Guaranteed allocations (reservations that hold a specific mint quantity for a specific collector) are handled through a structured five-step flow. Both sides of the exchange confirm before anything is locked. The result is a mutual record: the creator offered, the collector confirmed, and the mint either happened or it did not. That record feeds directly into mint reliability scoring.

  1. Apply

A collector reviews the launch terms and submits an application for whitelist access or a guaranteed allocation. The terms are visible before any commitment is made.

No reputation signal is recorded at this step. Applying without confirming carries no consequence.

  2. Offer

The creator reviews applications and sends a guaranteed allocation offer to selected collectors. The offer includes a confirmation window with a clear expiry.

Receiving an offer does not create a reputation record. The record begins only if the collector confirms.

  3. Confirm

The collector confirms or declines inside the window. Confirmation reserves the allocation and locks the commitment on both sides. An offer that expires without a response passes to the waitlist with no reputation impact.

Confirmation is the point at which the commitment is recorded. Declining cleanly or letting the offer expire are treated the same way: no deduction.

  4. Mint

The collector mints the confirmed quantity during the guaranteed window. The window is fixed at the time of the offer so both sides know exactly when it closes.

Partial mints are recorded as partial. Full completion is recorded as full. The outcome is tied to the specific commitment from step 3.

  5. Record

The outcome of the mint updates the collector's mint reliability score. A full completion earns credit. A partial completion counts proportionally. An unexplained miss causes a deduction. Collectors who missed but subsequently complete through an available recovery path can recover credit over time.

Every recorded outcome identifies the specific commitment and transaction, so a collector can always see exactly what was scored and why.

IV.For collectors and creators

Two sides of the same record

For collectors

  • 1Onchain history becomes a portable passport that travels across collections.
  • 2Strong behavioural records open access to launches that filter by reputation.
  • 3Commitment outcomes are tracked separately from general trading activity, so a reliable collector's record reflects reliability clearly.

For creators

  • 1Collector reputation data is available before a launch, not just after.
  • 2Guaranteed allocations go to collectors with a verified track record of following through.
  • 3Holder-health indicators give a transparent view of how a community is composed after a launch.
Endorsements

Creator credibility, made legible

A board of established creators and collectors provides structured endorsements for creators listing on Medici. Each endorsement is tied to a specific aspect of the creator's work or conduct, not a general seal of approval.

Endorsements are published with enough detail to be evaluated independently. A reader can see who is vouching, what they are vouching for, what their relationship to the creator is, and whether they hold any financial interest. Endorsements carry a status field so withdrawals are visible alongside active endorsements.

V.Collection holder health

What the holder base actually looks like

Before participating in a collection, collectors and creators can inspect a set of holder-health indicators that describe the behavioural composition of the existing holder base. Indicators cover retention, concentration, listing conduct, and signals of suspicious activity. The goal is to make the character of a community legible before a decision is made.

Mint retention

The share of original minters still holding across short, medium, and longer time windows after a mint.

Holding duration

Typical holding periods across the collection and how those periods shift as the collection ages.

Ownership concentration

The share of total supply held by a small number of wallets, as an indicator of how distributed the holder base is.

Returning buyers

Collectors who exited the collection and subsequently returned to buy again, a signal of sustained interest.

Listing behaviour

The prevalence of above-floor listings and undercutting patterns across active listings.

Reputation distribution

The range of behavioural profiles present across holders, showing whether the community skews toward high-reliability or mixed-conduct collectors.

Mint reliability

How reliably holders fulfilled confirmed mint commitments, drawn from the guaranteed allocation records tied to this collection.

Suspicious activity

Signals of connected-wallet trading or artificial volume patterns within the holder base.

A participation record that travels across the communities you support.
